A qualified lead is ready: create the contact and deal
Move a qualified lead into the customer and opportunity records you need next while keeping assignments and workspace visibility in mind.
A lead is useful while you are learning whether there is real work to discuss. Once the conversation becomes a qualified opportunity, keep the person and the potential engagement in the records that match those jobs.
The short version
Klaq can convert a lead into a contact and deal. Review the lead first, use the conversion workflow, and inspect the resulting records before continuing the conversation.
Make qualification a real decision
Before converting, check that you know who the person is, how to reach them, and what work they want to discuss. Add enough context for the next person handling the opportunity to understand the conversation.
You do not need to invent certainty about timing or value. Keep the known details accurate and the unknown details clear.
Review the lead you are converting
Check the name, email, company relationship, and assignment. A contact represents the person; a deal represents the opportunity. Those are different records even when they begin in the same conversation.
Klaq preserves assignment context during conversion. That helps carry responsibility forward instead of leaving the resulting records without an obvious connection to the person handling the lead.
Convert once, then inspect the result
Use the lead conversion action and review the created or linked contact and deal. Repeating the action is not a way to create a new opportunity with a different purpose; inspect the existing result first.
Conversion is designed to protect the linked operation from partial or repeated creation. Still, the useful business check is whether the resulting contact and deal correctly describe the person and work you intended.
Give the deal a clear next step
Set the opportunity in the appropriate pipeline stage and keep the next activity specific. “Confirm scope with the customer” gives the owner more direction than an unexplained opportunity name.
Converting a lead does not automatically create a Tracker project or an invoice. Those delivery and billing steps remain separate workflows.
Keep access expectations clear
Owners and administrators can review the workspace's leads. Ordinary members see leads assigned to them. Assignment and plan controls determine which reassignment actions are available.
Do not use a guessed direct link as a substitute for the correct workspace membership or lead access.
Common questions
Does conversion mean the deal is won?
No. Qualification and a won opportunity are separate business decisions. Continue managing the deal through the pipeline.
Will an invoice appear automatically?
No. Create the delivery and billing records through their own workflows when appropriate.
