Invoice currencies: keep the document and reports consistent
Choose the currency for each invoice and review currency-separated totals without assuming Klaq converts exchange rates or settles payments.
The currency on an invoice tells the customer how to read its amounts. Choose it before you finalize the document, and keep it consistent when reviewing the resulting payments and reports.
The short version
Free workspaces use their configured base currency for new documents. Multiple invoice currencies require Pro. Klaq keeps report totals separated by currency; it does not turn different currencies into a single converted balance.
Agree on the document currency first
Confirm the intended currency with the customer through your normal project discussion. Then choose that currency when preparing the invoice.
Do not rely on the currency symbol alone if it could be ambiguous in your conversation. Review the full currency selection along with the amounts before finalization.
The workspace base currency cannot simply be changed after documents already exist. Set it thoughtfully when configuring Invoice.
Keep each invoice internally consistent
Enter line prices in the document's currency. Review quantities, discounts, configured tax amounts, and the final total together. Different currencies can use different price precision, so do not assume every currency displays the same number of decimal places.
This guide describes Klaq's document behavior. It does not prescribe a conversion rate, a payment method, or how your business should account for exchange differences.
Match imported time to the invoice
If you create an invoice from Tracker entries, the selected projects must use the invoice currency. The entries must also belong to the selected customer where a project customer is assigned.
That check prevents an import from silently treating work recorded under one currency as an amount in another. It is a matching rule, rather than an automatic foreign-exchange calculation.
Read reports as separate currency groups
Review invoiced, collected, credited, and outstanding amounts within each currency group. An amount in USD and an amount in INR should remain separate review lines.
If you need converted financial reporting, use an appropriate accounting process outside this view. Do not describe the separate totals as a consolidated value in your home currency.
Common questions
Does choosing a currency convert the customer's payment?
No. A document currency selection does not perform a payment conversion or settle money.
Does Pro change earlier issued PDFs?
No. Existing issued documents retain their stored details. Plan and working-record changes do not rewrite those historical PDFs.
